Polica was one of bands I was introduced to that I really really liked. I told them they were great when they were wandering around, however, the friend I was with refused to take a picture for me. I really liked the vocal and the synth sounds, it worked really well even though it was outdoors and slightly drizzling at times. They all seemed very nice, though, and told me I should see them again. Turns out, they’ll be as Osheaga though I may miss them because their set is at 2 pm. Yeasayer was also very fun, so I hope to be able to catch them again sometime.

Firefly was sort of very great. There was Bassnectar and Jack White on Friday, and a lot more different bands on Saturday. It was disappointing to miss Ra Ra Riot and Imagine Dragons, but we caught Polica, a band I had never heard of before, that I sort of fell in love with. I liked the vocals, the drums, and electronic sound. Cults was ok, but Grouplove gave a great energetic performance. They opened with Lovely Cup, one of my favorites, and they all seemed to be having so much fun. We sort of wandered around before settling for Trampled by Turtles and Yeasayer, which is another new band to me that was also really great. The Killers were a crazy show with pyrotechnics and confetti. Sunday was a bit more meh to me because I didn’t know many of the bands, I thought I would like Reptar more from the description, but we ended up staying at The Head and the Heart, which sounded Death Cabish to me. The highlight of Sunday was definitely Death Cab, which we unfortunately had to leave early from. They started with the full I Will Possess Your Heart, another of my favorites, and it was too bad that he was sick.

They also had charging /cooling stations, an arcade full of old games, many of which I sucked at, a whiskey truck with a mini tour inside, moderately expensive food, super fast entry with the RFID bracelets, plentiful bathrooms and free water refill stations. I also got a Firefly hoodie (eco-green alternative apparel, super soft), and two poster prints from Boss Construction. There was a Trampled by Turtles tshirt I would have loved to turn into a tank, but seemed a bit pricey at $30.

What beautiful weather fit the last day of a great festival. Sunday shouldn’t end.
